ASAFO rebrands to enhance its marketing and online presence

ASAFO International Market announces a new brand. Their new logo is inspired by the flags of Africa. The reason for the new brand is to signify growing success in the DFW area and to prepare for future growth. The logo was designed to represent the pleasant shopping experience one enjoys at our market.

ASAFO International Market has built the business around listening to their customers needs and shopping desires. Since 1999, Mr. Lawrence Asare Dumfeh recognized a need appearing among people at church events, parties, and funerals. People were missing true African food, the tastes they’d come to know and love. He committed to meeting those needs and started small, first assembling the “Big 3’ products: canned corn beef, canned sardines and fufu flour). He then sold the “Big 3” from the back of his Nissan Access hatchback. Sales rose sharply as customers sought different brands and additional products. Eventually, a bigger car was required …then, a van…and a larger van. He added shelving space in his two-car garage to accommodate growing inventories.

Demand for his products continued to rise as he expanded, ultimately adding other partners to create the new storefront—the ASAFO International Market in Grand Prairie, Texas. Its doors are open for an expanding array of customers eager to bring home the taste of Africa.

ASAFO worked closely with Zebra Crossing Agency to create the new brand. Zebra Crossing Agency is a Texas-based advertising agency that offers creative marketing guidance, brand building and advertising to companies ready to enhance its marketing and online presence.
